Actually it is all working fine now. Yesterday I was able to un-delete the file and then rename it. I still wasn't able to checkout the file with 196 revisions, but now I can and it seems that all is working.

I'm not exactly sure how they did it, but I believe they added a file to the same folder with the same name. They mentioned doing a share and then changing the name. The scenario when I came in was that there were two files with the same name in the same folder. One had 196 revisions the other had 1...

Problem committing and operation with duplicated file

Item $/Clients/customer.xls caused the transaction to fail: The object could not be found. It may have been deleted, moved or renamed. How do I get this file back to where I can use it? It was duplicated and the duplicate was deleted. After that then this error began popping up with the original.

Feature Request

It would be nice to only see pending updates for the current project when using the Visual Studio plug-in because I tend to work on several projects at once and spend more time looking for new changes to check in for the current project. It might also be cool to have an option to select to decide if...

Fixed by changing the source provider

We had this same error with Fortress and Vault installed. The project had fortress bindings, but VS2005 was set to use vault. We changed to fortress and everything worked fine.

Web Client

Will the columns be able to be sorted anytime soon? That seems to be something that would be very useful.

The problem is fixed. I used sp_changedbowner to change the owner to another user and was able to do a new install. Thank you for all of the help.

The situation is that we had a server that was running Windows 2003 from a windows 2000 upgrade. We wanted to do a fresh install so we tried to move the vault to another Windows 2003 Server where we received this error. I have since formatted the original Windows 2003 Server and am trying to reinsta...
