Repository Rename Problem

Post by dsmith » Tue Jun 14, 2005 3:21 am

Using Vault v3.0.7 (2863)

We have rename a repository using the admin tool, which is fine. However, when I login to the newly named repository from my Vault client, the title bar shows the old repository name. Why?

Are you using a profile to log in? What happens when you use "Choose Repository..." from the menu, and chose the newly named repository from the list?

I am using profiles, but after renaming the repository, I deleted my profile and re-created it with the same name as the new repository. It's a weird one.

It looks as if the problem exists in the client side cache. It is harmless and will not affect operations of the Vault client.

If it is bothering you, you can shut down all Vault clients and remove the client side cache files - CacheMember_Repository and CacheMember_LastStructureGetTime found in the %APPDATA%\SourceGear\Vault_1\Client\{GUID}\{user}\ folder. This will reset the client side cache tree's name.

I've logged this problem to be fixed in a future version of Vault.
