Enhanced Client - "Work Offline" option

Post by rwmnau » Sun Nov 16, 2008 5:00 am

When I'm working on a project and the fortress server becomes unavailable (like I put my laptop to sleep and then go to a coffeeshop with it), Fortress still thinks it's in online mode, and won't let me make any project changes. I have to close Visual Studio, reopen it, load the project again, and then wait for Fortress to time out and put it into Offline mode.

Is there a better way to do this? Maybe there could be a "Work Offline" option on the server timeout dialog box, or I could set it to Offline mode from the File menu.

Thanks for the consideration!

You can manually go offline in the change bindings dialog. It's a checkbox at the bottom.
