Eclipse plugin version 4.1.4

Hi

We have been attempting to download the Eclipse plugin for vault version 4.1.4 but each link seems to redirect to version 5.0.3 (Even on the previous versions page).

Could you help us locate the 4.1.4 version as we get an error* when running with the 5.0.3 version which we believe could be down to the version mismatch with our server which is version 4.1.4.18402


* error: System.Exception: The server uses a protocol that is not supported by this client. ---> System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: 1021 : FailServiceVersionNotSupported

Thanks for the update.

Previous versions of Vault are posted on this page: http://www.sourcegear.com/vault/downloads2.html. The Eclipse instructions for each version remain the same unless you wish to use the alternate download. The alternate download can be found at the link you posted.

One doesn't have to download and install anything special though. The recommended method of installing the Vault Plug-in for Eclipse is to enter Vault update site into Eclipse, http://download.sourcegear.com/Vault/latest/update, and that will work for any version since the start of Eclipse support.

The Vault update site is only offering us the 5.0.3 version of the plug-in in Eclipse. We are using Eclipse 3.5.2 on Ubuntu 10.04. Our Vault server version is 4.1.0.16216. Is the plug-in meant to be backward-compatible or should we be seeing more versions when we connect to the Vault update site in Eclipse?

The 5.0.3 plug-in isn't working with our server. We manually installed the 4.1.0.16216 Eclipse plug-in and that is working. I found the 4.1.0.16216 Eclipse plug-in after I saw Jim's second post above. Thanks, Jim.

Our website Previous Versions of Vault Eclipse link does go to the latest version of the Eclipse plugin. If you're on a previous version, use this link, but substitute your specific version and build of Vault for the "4.1.0.16216" version.
