Can the Vault Client remember your Working Directory?

Post by ssinger » Fri Jun 17, 2005 1:26 pm

Hello. Is is possible for the Vault client to remember my working directory, once I set it. That would save me some time every day :-)

I'm using Version 3.02.

Thank you,

Steve

Once you set your working directory in the Vault GUI Client, it should remain the same, unless you change it, delete your cache files, log in as a different user, etc.

Are you experiencing something different?

i get this issue when using vault with vs.net 2005, but not with vs.net 2003 - i just figured it was a beta thing and would go away with vault 3.1 - not sure if this is related at all with the original poster

If it's a Beta thing, we'd like to fix it. Can you provide additional info so we can reproduce it? When do the working folders get unset, and what steps led up to that?

With Vault 3.0.5, I've a collection of current folders set (to map the Vault tree onto a slightly different tree, for comparison), and they're being remembered correctly; so they're not entirely broken (in fact, I've not experienced any bugs in them).
